Inflatable VHF Antennas

The Galaxy INFL8 is an inflatable End feed VHF antenna produced by Shakespeare, and available in 3 variants

  • Marine    (156MHz-162MHz)
  • HAM       (144MHz-148MHz) & (430MHz-440MHz)
  • Airband   (118MHz-136MHz)

The antenna can be rapidly deployed via a CO2 cartridge or manual inflation tube and inflates to 1.6M to offer a full 3db antenna, with a range of up to three times greater than any existing helical emergency antenna.

Due to its inflatable design, the Galaxy INFL8 antenna can be deflated and stowed away safely in its high visibility storage bag until required again.

The antenna can be mounted with its Hook and Loop straps, allowing a quick and easy installation. Grommets top and bottom also offer the option to hang and secure the antenna.

The RG174 feed cable is terminated as standard with a PL-259 Male connector.
